PEDs Learning Community

On 20 January, THUAS hosted the first Positive Energy Districts (PEDs) Learning Community session. Researchers from Dutch universities involved in four PED projects joined:

4A4PEDS   /    Atelier PED  /    DigiTwins PED   /   EDUPED

The session gave us time to introduce the projects, get acquainted with each other’s work, and discuss the development of digital twins for PEDs. The discussion highlighted three key needs:

  • Higher-quality GIS data, including standardized data structures and improved reliability
  • New modules and tools that use this data to support analysis and forecasting for PED development
  • Stronger collaboration between built-environment professionals and energy infrastructure professionals

This was a strong starting point, and we’ll continue the conversation in the next PED Learning Community session.

The PED Learning Community is an initiative of the Learning Community Systeemintegratie project, financed by Topsector Energie.
